Kerry Blackmer is the owner and trainer at Miles Ahead Farm. She has been riding and showing for over 20 years. Kerry got her start in eventing on Which One's That, a thoroughbred gelding off the track. She brought him through the levels herself, competing at the intermediate level before selling him to a young rider. Kerry is currently competing Case Closed II at the intermediate level and Marise at the preliminary level. Find out more about them on the horses page.

Kerry has been teaching riders of all levels for 15 years. She has been very active in teaching young riders and adults in the Frederick area. Kerry has also coached the Mount St. Mary's Equestrian Team and many pony clubbers. In July 2005, Kerry opened Miles Ahead Farm in Adamstown, MD. The farm provides a terrific place for riders and horses to gain experience and have fun. Find out more about lessons and training here.
